This recipe is a go-to for that sweet fix. It’s a no fuss, people pleasing sweet treat that’ll quickly become a staple on your sourdough.
Ingredients:
- Strawberries, washed, hulled and cut into quarters
- Sugar, white
- 2 TBLSPN lemon juice
- 3 TSPN pectin (optional)
Method:
- Place all ingredients in a pot and let stand overnight. This allows the liquid to be drawn out from the berries.
- Place the pot on the stove and bring to the boil, then reduce the heat to low & stir continuously for 30 minutes.
- Spoon the jam into sterilised jars & tighten the lid immediately.
- Store in a cool place until opened, then store in the fridge.
