Zesty lemon paired with sweet coconut chips – the Lemon Coconut Fodbod sure does deliver on flavour – they taste just like a lemon slice! 😉

Nutritional info:

Nourishing your body with wholesome delicious foods is super important, especially when your diet is limited by the Low FODMAP diet.

The lemon coconut bar contains 879kj of energy (210cal), 17.6g of carbohydrates (9.5g of sugar), 14.3g of protein and 9.2g of fats.

All Fodbod bars have balanced macronutrients (carbs, protein and fats) – our three main sources of energy. Our Fodbods recipes have been formulated with help from dieticians to ensure they nourish your body with everything it needs. They're the perfect snack that will leave you feeling full of energy and free to keep on living your best life.

Ingredients:

All ingredients in the bar are 100% natural non-GMO, gluten and dairy free, vegan and, of course, FODMAP-friendly

The bars are sweetened with organic rice malt syrup, which is great for those following the low FODMAP diet. Other protein bars are often sweetened with dates and honey, which are high in FODMAP and for some people trigger gas and bloating 🥴.

Fodbods are surprisingly high in protein – 14.3g in our Lemon Coconut bars!

Protein is an essential part of our diet, used by our bodies to repair muscles and bones – even to make hormones!P roteins are made up of smaller molecules called amino acids and it’s these amino acids that the body requires. There are 9 essential amino acids that must be consumed, as the body can't make them. Fodbods bars combine three types of vegan protein (pea protein, rice protein and soy protein), as this is provides a more complete amino acid profile than having one on its own.

Fats play an important role in many body functions, such as assisting the absorption of nutrients and helping them move around. The fat content of our Lemon Coconut bars comes from almond butter and coconut chips. Almonds contain ~70% fat, most of which is healthy, unsaturated fat. Coconut is a great source of medium-chain-fatty-acids, which is a good type of saturated fat that tends to be used up as energy, rather than stored as fat. And remember that fat fills you up so you feel satisfied for hours afterward.

That pretty much sums up our lemon coconut bar 'nutritional info', but you can always reach out to us @fobods on socials if you have more questions!
