Glowing Chocolate Bars

A deliciously crispy sweet treat, using our Gut Glow! This recipe was created by Angelique, one of our wonderful affiliates and advanced sports dietitian. You can check her out at @angeliqueclark_nutrition to find our more about her. 

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups Brown Rice Puffs
  • 2 1/2 TBSP Cocoa Powder
  • 5 Dates, pitted
  • 120g Fodbods Gut Glow
  • 120g Brown Rice Syrup
  • 2 1/2 cups Soy Crispies
  • 130g Coconut Oil Spray 

Method:

  1. Line a rectangle slice baking tray with with baking paper
  2. Place brown rice puffs, soy protein crisps and Fodbods Gut Glow into a large bowl
  3. Remove the pip from the dates, then place into a good processor. Chop on high for 20 seconds or until finely diced
  4. In a small saucepan, melt coconut oil, cacao, rice malt syrup and dates over low heat, stirring for 5 minutes until thick & dissolved
  5. Pour mixture into dry ingredients bowl and stir well, coating everything to combine
  6. Place the mixture into the baking dish and press evenly into the edges of the pan
  7. Place in the fridge for 1 hour or until set, then slice evenly and enjoy!
